Recurring charges and opening balances

I am currently evaluating Solar Accounts. So far I am quite impressed.

Is there an easy way to record a recurring charge, like rent or monthly fees for which I receive an invoice?

How does one record the opening balances from the year before I started using Solar?

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your interest in Solar Accounts. Solar Accounts cannot record recurring purchase invoices, but it can record recurring Money Paid Out transactions where the Type is 'General Payment'. To set up a recurring schedule click the 'Repeat' button in the bottom left of the Money Paid Out window.

To set up opening balances, first enter any invoices which were unpaid at the start of the financial year - this will set up the opening balance for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounts. Then go to the Accounts list and double-click on each account to set the opening balance.
