Does Solar Account allow/calculate amortization of assets?
If so, does anyone know how? I can't find references to it.

Solar Accounts doesn't have any features specifically for calculating your amortization figure - you will need to calculate this figure outside the software, then record a General Transaction similar to depreciation:
