I writing from Lusaka, Zambia, C Africa and i have been using Solar for a number of my clients for some years. Of course with some adptations from UK Vat etc.
Everytime I had a reason to contact Mark, he would rise to the occassion.
Last evening, a year-end 2010 file would not open - indicating errors. Contacted Mark who literally walked me through and by ealier morning today viola back in business! Okay with warning to backup (both auto and manual).

You are magic! I went to that folder, copied and renamed, it said needed to
upgrade to latest Solar version and of course it worked.

Hi Kieran,
My apologies - I have gave you a reference to the wrong file.
Unfortunately the automatic backup file that matches
"xxxxxx.slr" has been deleted from your hard drive to conserve space.
However, looking at the diagnostic log files it appears that you created a
manual backup file to the following location:
D:\xxxx\Solar\xxxxxx (Backup).slr
Could you please email me that file?
