Trying to get my vat return ready, and a recent purchase of over the £2000 threshold is not being calculated for vat deduction (box 4) in the vat return. is this a bug?

You need to tell Solar Accounts to exclude the purchase from the flat rate sceme. Please see the section titled 'Reclaiming VAT on Capital Purchases' on the following page:
