Web based version

Most of my work is now cloud based - so much so that I am seriously looking at a Chromebook to replace my recently deceased laptop (after all, why pay for functionality I don't use).

BUT of course that would mean ditching my favourite accounts software of the moment, Solar.

Is Solar looking at doing a cloud version any time?

Hi David,

Good question. The answer is rather nuanced: We ARE looking to produce a cloud-based version of Solar Accounts, but NOT a web-based version. That is, we hope to produce a version of Solar Accounts that stores your data on our online servers, allowing you to access your data from anywhere and share your data with anyone. However, this will likely be an application you download and install, not a website that you log into. (Think 'iTunes', not 'YouTube').

Short answer: I'd recommend you buy a Macbook Air rather than a Chromebook.

Cheers,

I have more sense than money, so overpriced overrated hardware is off the list. I think there may be a Linux workaround.

Thanks anyway :-)
