Hi, can you set Solar to back up to an external hard drive everytime that it closes down? I take my laptop out to work so am manually backing up at the end of every day just in case I break it or it gets stolen.

No, with Solar Accounts you must manually initiate the backup. However, you can back up by simply copying your Solar Accounts data file just like any other file. There are various programs you can download from the web to automate this.
