I reconcile the bank account on a regular basis , but when i check it against account activity they have different figures . can you advise how is this possible and how i might rectify it . thank you
Hi Paul,
If your Account Activity figures are different to the bank reconciliation window, it could mean one of two things:
1. That you have entered an incorrect transaction in Solar Accounts
2. That you have correctly recorded a payment in Solar Accounts that hasn't yet appeared on your bank statement (often this because you have written or deposited a cheque which the bank hasn't yet cleared).
Open your bank reconciliation window and look at each unreconciled transaction. If you expect the transaction will appear on a future bank statement (eg. a cheque you have written) then it is fine to leave it unreconciled. Otherwise you should either delete the transaction or edit it so that it no longer references the cheque account.
