Hello, I am about to change banks. What is the correct way to go about this in Solar. I will still only have one current account. Some money willtransfer from old account to new, then it will have a zero balance - then payments from invoices will go to new one.

OK here's what you need to do:

1. Create a new bank account by clicking menu File > New > Account. Ensure the Account Type is set to 'Asset' and has opening balance £0.00

2. Create a General Transaction to transfer the money from Cheque Account to your new bank account

3. Click menu Setup > Transaction Defaults > Default Accounts, and update the entries that have 'Cheque Account' to refer to the new bank account.
