Entering 'annual' totals...

I'm thinking of buying 'Solar Accounts'. I work as a small-scale accountancy service raising Year End Accounts for sole traders etc.

If I get a client from a previous accountant, can I easily enter last year's totals from the trial balance in order to get last year's 'comparatives' set up before I raise this year's figures?

For the simpler clients, I sometimes raise accounts 'on paper' and end up with a year's total for Sales etc. Can these all be entered as single annual figures in this software, or is it designed to 'build up' a picture from individual transactions?

Regards,
Steve E.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your interest in Solar Accounts. For balance sheet accounts you can simply edit the opening balance from the Accounts list. For Income and Expense accounts create a new General Tranaction, tick the 'Multiple accounts' checkbox then enter the required credits and debits.

I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need more information.

Regards,
