VAT returns
I dont understand the difference ( other than amount due ) of ticking or unticking the 'include changes to previous VAT returns submitted'
If I untick the box the amount due is significantly less
Hello Anna,
Ticking the box labelled 'Include changes to previous VAT return period'
will add an adjustment to account for changes you made to a previous return
after it was submitted. For example, if you deleted an invoice after the
return was submitted, then ticking this checkbox on the next return will
reduce the Box 1 figure by the VAT amount of the invoice.
To see exactly what adjustments Solar Accounts has applied:
1. Click the 'Include changes to previous VAT return' checkbox
2. Click 'Next'
3. Click the the 'Save Details' link in the top-right corner of the window
4. Save the details spreadsheet and open it in Excel
