Claiming VAT for previous VAT period

Hi,

Regarding VAT returns.

If I have claimed VAT back for period upto end of March 09 but did not account for all vatable items how could you add them onto next VAT return??

Hello Robert,

Unfortunately Solar Accounts doesn't automatically include transactions outside the VAT period you give it.

You will need to manually calculate the unclaimed VAT amount for transactions up to the end of March. Then when you copy the figures from Solar Accounts to your VAT return, manually adjust the figures for Box 4, Box 5 and Box 7. You will also need to adjust the amount of the payment you record to HMRC.
