Hi When I first registered for VAT a refund was involved and a couple of other mistakes in the learning curve.
This has all been resolved with HMRC however the VAT Liability account in Solar accounts is incorrect.
I would like to put a correction in the VAT Liability bringing it down to Zero after my next VAT payment, how can I do this without causing Solar to calculate my VAT incorrectly on subsequent VAT payments.
I would like to sort this out so that I have a nice clean start with Solar on line version.
Thanks
Hi John,
You can adjust your VAT liability account by creating a General Transaction
between the VAT Liability account and another account (eg. an expense or
equity account). This transaction will have no effect on your VAT returns.
Hello Marc
I just want to confirm that providing there are no other entries at the end of a VAT period and I have entered the VAT payment to HMRC. The VAT liability should show Zero ?
Just making sure before I adjust the balance and go to online accounts.
Best Regards
John Russell
