How to Register Cheques and Cash for Last Years Accounts?

I am doing last year's accounts. The cheques and cash has long since been banked. So does this mean instead of using "General Transactions" and sending the money "To be banked". I must use, "Receive Money" and send it to "Check Account" from the "Sales Income" account?

And incidentally, how do you transer money from the "To be Banked" account to the "Check Account"?

Hello Robert,

To transfer money from the Money To Be Banked account to a Cheque Account, see our help page on recording a bank deposit:

For last years transactions you can record a Money Received payment deposited directly into the Cheque Account (instead of the Money To Be Banked account). The From Account should be 'Sales Income' - this will fix the 'cancelling out' problem.
