Hi - I'm looking at Solar at the moment, having been a MYOB user previously. Do the ind company files have password protection before they can be opened? I'm a bit paranoid about security - if someone was to steal my laptop would they be able to open Solaris and my company file?

Sorry no, Solar Accounts doesn't have a password protection feature. However, there is software available on the internet which can create an encrypted drive - you could then save your data file to this drive to keep it secure. One such free program is TrueCrypt: http://www.truecrypt.org/
