This is a really minor problem in the scheme of things, but it's bugging me completely (you can smell the OCD from there I bet).

Is there a way that if you input an invoice out of sequence (as I do batches of them at a time, and they match our our online system) you can sort it - much like the reconcile up and down button - as at the moment I have to take them off and re-do it so I don't go completely mental!

Sorry no, you cannot change the default ordering of invoices in Solar Accounts. I'll record your email to be notified in case we add this feature in future.

Not sure if it's what you mean, but you can add your own invoice numbers in.

We switched to using Solar recently and decided to add all the old invoices on as well. All that we did was to manually change the invoice number and date as we typed up the new invoice.

This meant all the reports were still correct (so we can see last year's turnover etc) and if we wanted to add a brand new invoice in, the next invoice number was still correct.
