Payments

If I have a supplier which owes me a credit note but I need to pay something i.e. have an invoice for £200, but the supplier has issued a credit note for £100, I would just send a payment for £100. There doesn't appear to be a way of doing this is in one transaction i.e. at the moment I have to make a payment to the supplier of £200 and then claim a credit from the supplier of £100. If the credit notes (as well as the purchase invocies) were displayed for the relevant supplier when making a payment, we could allocate payments correctly in one transaction.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your feedback. You don't have to record a payment of £200 to your supplier - you can allocate a credit note to an outstanding purchase invoice as described here:
http://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/help/how-to-allocate-a-purchase-credit-note.php
This leaves £100 outstanding which you can record payment for in the usual way:

I agree it would be simpler to do this as you describe with one transaction rather than two - we'll try to improve this in future development of Solar Accounts.

Regards,
