Solar Desktop to Online version

I currently use the desktop version for my bookkeeping business and do the accounts for a number of clients through that (which, so far, I cannot fault!). I am starting to look at online based packages and would love to stick with Solar if possible but am wondering how easy it is to transfer over the data from all my client files. In the desktop version, I just open Solar, click on 'Open a different file' and select the client file that I want to open. Is that still the case with the online version or does it work slightly differently?
I have looked at other online based packages and although some others do have more features than Solar (such as auto bank feeds, being able to submit VAT returns direct to HMRC etc), none of them have the 'ease of use' factor that Solar has and that is why I would like to stick with Solar.

Hi Jennifer,

I'm very sorry for the delay in responding to your query. It seems there is an error on our online forum which has marked your message as deleted (I have restored the message).

It's great to hear you prefer Solar Accounts due to ease of use! With the online version it is very easy to choose which business you want to open. After you log in, if you have multiple businesses you get a simple screen like this:

And you just double-click on the business you want to open. If you want to switch to another business, click menu File > Close and double-click on the other business.

In case you haven't seen it, here is some more information for users looking to switch from the offline version to the online version:

Please let me know if you have any other questions - I promise to be more responsive next time!

Regards
