Self Employed and National Insurance

How exactly does one account for the NI contributions when self employed.
I'm probably missing the obvious with this but struggling with it non the less.

Hello Andrew,

When you are self-employed, your tax and NI contributions are considered your personal expense and not a business expense.

If you pay your NI contributions from your personal bank account, this payment would not be recorded in Solar Accounts. If you pay your NI contributions from your business bank account, this payment would be recorded as a non-business expense as described here:
